Landlines by the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy

The January 2008 issue of the Land Lines quarterly magazine (vol 20, no 1) is now posted on our Web site here. And it's free!
Some of the items on the menu include planning for climate change and housing inequalities in China.

As we're about to say goodbye to 2007, I thought it would be nice to see some pictures of Montreal, 20 years ago.
Here are some pictures from a Concordia alumni, Mickey G, which he was nice enough to share on Flickr

Bangkok RailMarket

This is a little video submitted by Danielle H. We thought it might speak to those who got to work on Parc-Ex!

A Great Personal Blog about Urbanism

I stumbled upon this blog last week, it has quite a nice take on Montreal.

                  Enjoy the read!

A funny little piece in The Onion

In the previous post I was doing a little promo for The Radiant City. Little did I know that it's actually going to be playing at Concordia!

Subway, Sprawl'n'Stuff

Sprawl
I just saw a great little Canadian piece on urban sprawl called The Radiant City. I encourage you to go and check it out at your local video store - that's where I found it, so I'm sure it's pretty available. Or just be lazy and watch the trailer for an "avant-gout"

Subway
'Tis not absolutely not the season, nor is there no specific reason of event to celebrate about subways, but gee do I love underground public t
ransit.
And I just discovered a comprehensive yet esthetically challenged website with a list of pictures of Art in the Metros around the world (and yes, you'll find Montreal in it)
Here again, a couple of "avant-gout" pictures and the link here (for those by now who didn't get "avant-gout"by now, it's pretty much "before-taste")
